larry gilman

Larry Gilman has performed as an actor in over 40 productions on and off-Broadway, on film, and in television. He has directed numerous plays, recordings, and co-directed films. Larry also directed Woody Harrelson’s original play Two on Two coupled with Edward Albee’s Zoo Story, starring Woody Harrelson, which won an award from the Los Angeles Theater community. Larry has led Mastery Workshops around the world beginning in 1982 in addition to becoming a Corporate Communication Specialist in 1992. In Vancouver, he continues to facilitate The Purposeful Journey, Practicum, and the Graduate 2-day Workshop. In addition to his work as an acting teacher for over 40 years, Larry has been a coach for many well-known actors in Los Angeles & New York.

Karen austin

Karen Austin has performed lead roles in film, on stage and has starred in multiple hundreds of hours of television in mini-series, movies for TV, and episodic series. She was awarded the LA Drama Critics Circle and Dramalogue Awards and elected to the Academy of Motion Picture Arts & Sciences. She holds a MA in dramatic literature from Northwestern University where she has returned to lecture. She has also lectured at Stanford, the SAG/Aftra Conservatory at AFI, and through the union’s Member Education series. For over a decade she has fostered a supportive community for actors at her own studio currently located at the Skylight Theatre in LA and has led the Mastery for 15 years. She credits much of her success to her continued involvement with the Mastery and the mentorship of Dan Fauci.  www.actorsasylum.com

christopher cass

Christopher Cass has worked as an actor in New York, on and off Broadway, in Los Angeles and San Francisco as well as all over the United States, Mexico and the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, Scotland. He has performed on network television, soap operas, commercials, and voice-overs.  He has taught acting at UCLA Extension and the NY Conservatory of Dramatic Arts, as well as coaching privately. Currently, he is the Senior Acting Instructor at the New York Film Academy where he has been teaching since 2011. Christopher was a guest lecturer and taught acting in Kiev, Minsk and Kazakhstan. He has a degree in Theatre from the University of Georgia and has studied acting at HB Studios.  Christopher completed his first Mastery of Creativity workshop in Los Angeles in 1986 and has also completed the Leadership Workshop, the Abyss and the Purposeful Journey. He has been involved with the Mastery workshops for over 25 years and was responsible for bringing back the Actor’s Mastery to NYC in 2008 after a 10-year hiatus.
