Into the Abyss
Do you find that you’ve been struggling with a particular issue for a long time, asking the same question over and over, stuck in what seems to be an infinite loop? Maybe your friends have been giving you the same advice repeatedly, but you can’t see what they see, you always have an excuse.
How is it that we can be the last to know what everyone else knows about us?
This isn’t uncommon. Many of us have “blind spots” where we can’t see clearly what is holding us back. That’s because it can be painful to face the truth. It can feel more comfortable to stay in our suffering, to remain unconscious.
In this personal growth workshop, we call the blind spots “the abyss”. We shine a light into this black void to illuminate what is unknown to you but obvious to everyone else. You’ll see what you need to see, so that you can take action and make a shift in your life. You might be surprised to find that the blind spot is a personal strength you’ve never acknowledged.
Take a moment to think. What have you been saying to yourself over and over?
- I need to take the next step in my career.
- I need to fix my marriage.
- I have to move to a new place.
- I want to learn to dance.
- I want my life to be different!
- I want to feel like me again!
- I don’t want to keep doing the same thing over and over.
The abyss is the darkness: the things that we’re unconscious about. It’s a personal abyss; others can see what’s in our abyss, but we don’t. So, how do you see what you cannot see? That’s what you’ll learn – and experience – during this workshop. If you’re ready to make the commitment, you’ll come home on Sunday night seeing the way forward. You’ll know what that first step needs to be, whether it’s to sign up for a class, find a counsellor, or start researching a new career.
A lot more is possible than you think is possible. When we’re letting the hidden things in the abyss control our lives, we lower our expectations and make excuses. This personal development workshop will shed light on them, so that you can grasp what has been just out of your reach for years.
We’ll use the tools of looking, listening, drawing and writing to discover blind spots. You don’t need to be an artist or a writer for this to be effective; whatever skills you have will be enough. Even if you don’t enjoy drawing or writing, the process still works.
Are you ready to stop suffering? To give up making excuses to friends, family and yourself? Are you ready to make a change in your life? Are you ready to say “yes”?
If so, the first step is to see when the next Into the Abyss workshop is being held in your area. No prerequisites are required to take this workshop.
