The Performers MASTERY is a
powerful three day workshop designed for actors, singers and
performers at any level. It holds the same principals as the
MASTERY of Self Expression, but focuses on you, the performer,
becoming more self expressive in your artistic endeavors and more
effective in your personal life. Originated in 1976 by Dan Fauci
in New York, the workshop has maintained its form and continues to
deliver powerful and effective changes in the lives and work of
actors and performers.
The Performers MASTERY was
originally designed for actors , but the results have been so
outstanding for participants in areas of their lives beyond acting
that others began to take the workshop too, including performers
in other mediums such as singing and dancing and related industry
professionals -- agents, producers, directors, cinematographers,
etc. The MASTERY of Self-Expression evolved out of this workshop
and caters to individuals outside of the entertainment field.
The beauty of the Performers
MASTERY workshop is its simplicity. Through the use of monologues
as well as carefully crafted group exercises, you will have
many opportunities throughout the weekend to stretch and play. We
support you and give you tools to push past your creative blocks
-- often the same blocks that hold you back in other areas of your
life. .
The Performers MASTERY changes the
way we look at our art and craft. It helps us connect to our
source so that our performance is always true, connected, and
coming from a place of passion. Most importantly, the MASTERY is
interactive. It's about sharing common themes in our struggles and
joys in how we work and play. And it's a lot of fun. Unlike other
workshops, it is not three days of sitting on your butt being
lectured to. It is exciting, challenging and ultimately, you are
in charge of what you get out of the weekend.
After the workshop is completed,
we have a follow up meeting approximately two weeks later, to
check in with you about where you're at and how your life has been
going. This is also an opportunity to create a support group with
the other participants of your MASTERY weekend. The first two or
three of these support group meetings are facilitated by one of
the MASTERY facilitators.
For more information, or to ask
any questions about enrolling for the workshop, you can contact
Linda Darlow
or Henry Mah.
We look forward to working with you at the Performers MASTERY.
